DHI Hair Transplant Technique

Stages of DHI Technique
- Stage: The grafts in the donor area are collected one by one. The hair follicles in the collected germ are made ready for transplantation.
- Stage: The collected hair follicles are placed into the choi pen one by one. This should be done very carefully. Then, the doctor transplants the hair follicles at an appropriate angle. The hair follicles placed in the Choi pen are transplanted into the hair follicles using the needle’s pushing feature.
An average of 2 – 6 CHOI pens and an average of 15 – 16 choi tips are used in one operation. These tips can be of different sizes. The factor determining the size of the ends is the thickness of the hair follicle and hair of the patient.
Is Everyone Suitable for DHI Hair Transplantation?
The DHI technique first appeared at Kyungpook National University. It was thought that the first CHOI pen was not suitable for hair transplantation. The reason for this is that especially curled and thin hair follicles are damaged during insertion into the choi pen and during transplantation.
